Pure Trance XI: Solarstone and Orkidea Capture a Live London Fabric Set for a 44-Track, 4-Hour Odyssey

Pure Trance XI arrives June 10 as a live 44-track, 4+ hour Fabric recording co-mixed by Solarstone and Orkidea — the series' most ambitious volume yet.

There are compilation series, and then there is Pure Trance. Since Solarstone launched the series as a manifesto for uncompromising, melody-first trance, each volume has carried the weight of a movement — not just a product. With Pure Trance XI, arriving June 10, 2026, the series takes what may be its most ambitious leap yet: a fully live, unbroken recording captured on a heaving February Saturday inside London's iconic Fabric.

Back to the Blueprint

The philosophy driving XI reaches back to the genre's golden era — the immersive, experience-first ethos of Global Underground, Northern Exposure, and Renaissance. Solarstone had long felt that ethos was "achievable, but not yet fully achieved" within the Pure Trance framework. So he returned the series to the drawing board entirely, and the result is something the trance family hasn't had in years: a live-mixed double-header recorded in the wild, crowd noise, fader moves, filter releases and all.

To make that vision complete, the series welcomed back its very first co-mixer: Finnish legend Orkidea, who helmed Pure Trance Volume 1 alongside Solarstone back when the series began. Their reunion feels both inevitable and deeply earned. As Orkidea himself noted, "Most of the tracks on Global Underground, Northern Exposure, Renaissance and the like had already been released by the time the albums came out. People fell in love with them through the compilations. It's when you present tracks in a mix that they're heard differently."

44 Tracks, Four Hours, One Unbroken Journey

The digital edition clocks in at an uninterrupted 4+ hours across 44 tracks, with triple disc and triple vinyl editions also available. The architecture of the mix is its own story. The opening hour leans underground and progressive — Obie Fernandez's brooding Naked, the low-riding tension of Obie Dick's Foreplay, and the toughening groove of Novacode's Broken Soul and VADM's Space all build the foundation before the mix delivers a majestic first-hour farewell via the freshly released Solarstone & Orkidea – Slowmotion VII and Jamie Baggotts' heartrending remix of Mr Sam's Forever Waiting.

Past the two-hour mark, the mix pivots again — sharpening its trajectory with classic-era touchstones like Tekara's Breathe in You and Matti Laamanen's hypnotic Flakes, before Solarstone's Haunt Me with Susie Ledge brings emotional voltage and Energy Field provides the kinetic thrust needed for a final act of pure power. The closer? Bryan Kearney's ferocious rework of Orkidea's Beautiful — an absolutely stunning curtain call.
